About The Parters
Podium owners and partners – Warren Cole, Neil Tsutsui and Mark Jeffries saw a need for a new adventure, like nothing Hawaii had seen before, and decided to open the only indoor electric kart racing track in Kapolei. Finding a decommissioned military space, it was the perfect opportunity to transform the area into a brand new, state-of-the-art kart racing facility. The three general contractor partners worked to find a space big enough for this endeavor and to turn their vision into reality. The reality, a 44,000 square foot facility, created jobs and turned an unused, rundown building into an ever-growing popular attraction.
“As a motocross racer on the mainland, moving to Hawaii and finding nothing like it really motivated me. My partners and I had a vision once we saw this dilapidated building and immediately saw how we could bring kart racing here,” says Mark Jeffries.
Kapolei, the location of the racetrack, has been revitalized over the past few years and has since turned into a business-friendly and popular city. Podium is one of the leading businesses that first established in the area and prides themselves on having contributed to the restoration of the town.
Oahu residents and visitors have embraced this exciting activity with over 60,000 racers to date in Hawaii’s fast lane. Overwhelmed by local support, the company plans to continue focusing on providing a mainland quality experience in Hawaii as well as host events to benefit the community.
Podium Raceway features a quarter-mile, indoor track with 45 electric karts. The high-performance, European, electric racing karts are emission free, environmentally friendly and allow racers to go up to 45 mph. Up to 10 drivers are able to compete side by side on the track that boasts hairpin turns and straight-aways.
